technology was initially developed in response to a request from Conoco Phillips,
Elk City, OK, Safety Managers to find a way to protect their drilling rig crews from
tornados and rapidly moving prairie fires while working in the Anadarko Basin in
western Oklahoma.
The result was the only storm shelter designed to withstand 350 mph winds.
